WONDERER WANDERING
So far on this blog site:
Hadrian's Wall walk from Maryport to Newcastle. Sept 2019
The Cotsold Way from Stratford to Bath. July 2020
The South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne (end Alfriston). July/Aug 2020
Glyndwr's Way (didn't quite upload all of it) 2020
Scottish National Trail from Kirk Yetholm to Ardgay Aug/Sep 2021
It was designed to record my 'thru' hike of the Pacific Crest Trail which would have begun on April 1st 2020. But COVID-19 of course sent us into lockdown.

The best way to keep up to date with my hiking is to SUBSCRIBE by scrolling to the bottom of this page and inputting your email address. That means you will receive an email whenever I update the blog, so you can follow my travels <- I don't think you can find the site on google.
To actually read the blogs go to BLOG at the top of this page, where you will see all my posts latest to earliest (the blogs below are the latest two only). I'm sorry the site name is pretentious, all my first (and second, and third... ) choices weren't available.
I won't be able to update the pages of this website when I am not near a computer, only the blogs on the app when I have wifi, so it may become outdated. Also Wix is infuriatingly slow.
Much love x

WHY THE PACIFIC CREST TRAIL
Archived as no longer relevant- and to be honest makes me sad reading all those hopes I had

Some other words I have collected
The girl who goes alone says with her body, the world is worth the risk
-Elizabeth Austen

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...” - Dr Seuss, Oh, The Places You'll Go!

When you set out for Ithaka, ask that your way be long

The world is big and I want to get a good look at it, before it is dark - John Muir

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate
And though I oft have passed them by
A day will come at last when I
Shall take the hidden paths that run
West of the Moon, East of the Sun.

edit:
.... gosh I have so many more now
GO read Robert Macfarlane's books - his writing (Underland is brilliant, but Old Ways is most relevant for long distance hiking) has forever changed the way I walk - with poetry rolling through my head.
